Welcome to Christ Our Redeemer!
We want to cover a few procedures that will help you and those around you to attend Mass safely. If you fall into an At-Risk category or do not feel well, join us virtually for the live streamed Mass on Saturdays at 5:30 pm on the parish website. The obligation to attend Sunday Mass continues to be dispensed until further notice. We offer daily Mass on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 am and Monday at 11:30 am. Weekend Mass is available on Saturday at 5:30 pm, Sunday at 7:30 and 10:30 am. We are reserving seats for Mass to allow for social distancing. Sign up by either completing the form located above or by calling the parish office at 850-897-7797.
For those 7 and up: face coverings are required on campus and during Mass. The church hand sanitizer dispenser is located at the entrance. Feel free to bring your own from home. We encourage you to arrive 30 minutes before Mass to allow time for seating. Please maintain a safe distance while waiting to be seated. Please enter the church through the main doors located by the bell tower. Ushers will assist you with seating to ensure proper social distance. You will be able to sit together with your household. At this time the cry room is closed during Mass.
Procedures During Mass
The holy water font is empty at this time but holy water is available to take home upon request. Please keep your face mask on for the duration of the liturgy. A music guide will be provided and we ask you to take them home with you to recycle. The readings of the day are located on the COR MyParish app. Offertory baskets will not be passed at this time. You will be able to place your weekly gift in a basket when you enter or exit the church. We strongly encourage Online giving available on our website.
Procedures For The Reception Of Holy Communion
As an act of charity, Bishop Wack has strongly suggested Communion not be received on the tongue at this time. The Precious Blood will not be offered to the congregation. Use of personal hand sanitizer before and after communion is strongly encouraged.
There will be a single communion line down the center aisle only. Ushers will assist in guiding each pew at the appropriate time. When your pew is ushered to receive communion, stand up and move to the center aisle. At this time, we will distribute communion up by the Altar and also in the rear by the baptismal font. When you step up to the priest or deacon to receive Communion, keep your mask on. The host will be placed into your hands only. Please step to the side and consume the body of Christ.
Departure Procedures
After the final procession, pews will be dismissed with the guidance of the Ushers, starting in the rear of the church and moving forward. This will be similar to how you exit an airplane. Please exit your pew when prompted even if the music is still playing. Please maintain safe distance as you exit the church. Private prayer is not available after Sunday Masses to allow the church to be reset and disinfected for the next Mass. A basket will be available to drop off your weekly envelope as you depart. Please do not congregate in the Narthex.
Church Cleaning Procedures
We will continue to implement cleaning and sanitization practices including cleaning pews after each Mass. Disinfecting of bathrooms, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces will also occur after each Mass. Parish Staff will be required to: Wear face masks, wash their hands and will be screened for COVID 19 symptoms. You are reminded to follow CDC recommendations regarding your own health.
