December the 8th is the feast of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is a Holy Day of Obligation for all Catholics. Catholics are required to attend Mass on a Holy Day just the same as if it were a Sunday. Therefore, at Christ Our Redeemer were are celebrating a Vigil Mass this evening.
